We got to bed around 3 – 4 a.m. and of course being the first day of festival at 5 a.m. the town started sending rockets and explosions into the air. They also rang the church bell and sent more explosions up in the air for at least 15 minutes. About a third of us slept through it, a third woke up and a few had no idea what was happening and thought we were under attack. Once we got up we discovered our truck was parked in town square and some kids had shown up at 4 a.m. to wash it. Check out the photo of it sitting in the town square. I will post more photos later with the town’s folk. We are off to go to Autlan and a few other towns to explain what happen to the equipment we brought down.
